The Future?

Will Global Warming be the "common enemy" that will unite the World int working together? At a meeting in Bali, Indonesia where 187 countries where represented, it was decided that, "Yes", Global Warming is official and that countries should be making efforts to try and and prevent it from further damaging the World. But little was decided as to how to stop or slow the effects. So, more than likely, it will take a death toll before real efforts are made. But with Death on the line, people become very negotiable. SO it might be the one thing that does get the World talking peace and group efforts.

Russia is working with Iran to move forward on Nuclear Energy. Putin has a 80% approval rating and is a charismatic and strong character, heck I even admire the guy! He promises his people to restore Russia to a Major power and to bring back stability to all the crime and corruption that flourished after going Democratic. After being on this planet 40 years and watching how lawyers and governments (people too) put a spin on every story so you never know the truth. The whole reporter murders are mystery and where all those assets go after the takes down the corrupt is another another question. But here Russia was our "ally" for almost a decade, want to bet they will be made out in the media as an enemy again and someone to fear? Always happens when a "rival" is on the block for power and economic stability.

Where does China's future lie? They are a super power, they have such a huge population and everyone looking to rape the labor market their has set up a factory or shop of some kind making pollution there out of hand. Will Civil Rights and a demand for a higher quality of life arise or do the people not mind how things are going? Will China ally with Russia and Iran to help prevent the United States from trying to Democratize Asia in this Century, much like the US always went to War in Korea, Vietnam and other parts of the World to try and stop the spread of Communism in the 1900s?

A woman in Saudi Arabia was whipped 200 lashes for being a rape victim. It was her fault for being "alone" with the man. Does this seem right to you?

As always who will stand up and challenge the way humans behave? Who will just let things go on business as usual? Who will believe there is nothing that can be done or are too busy or powerless and who will say the cause is more important than the materials I possess? Does what is happening out of my immediate vicinity matter, or should I only concern myself with that which is closest to me? Let the World rise and fall as it may and just pursue my happiness till the end of my days?
