When I feel the urge to buy a new television, I just watch this clip from a great movie in 1976 called Network. Here we are 30 years later and its still relevant.
I donated my television I owned to a group of people two years ago, and I don't miss it. I loved watching TV was a kid: Bionic Man, Battlestar Galactica, Gilligan's Island, and more. Some scholars felt television would dull a person's brain and called it the boob tube. Of course I disagreed all because I was a ignorant kid who loved TV. Now, 30 years later, with all the drama on TV, Reality Shows and Celebrity gossip channels and using sex as an attention getter, I now concur with those scholars of the past. The TV is a waste of time and brain matter. No not all television is bad, there are some good channels which enhance your mind and soul - a little TV is good and the rest of the time should be on learning something or working on a project.
