India, like China, is a country in transition. A vast population and a growing economy. A city has been developed to accommodate this change called Cyber-city. Just think of how the lives of Americans could be transformed if we took some of those billions we send overseas and the government wastes on other items if they took that money and restructured transit and housing and commerce in America!
A man who makes $20,000 a year here in the United States is chop liver. On the low end of social status, lifestyle, and desire among my peers. Probably lives in a one room efficiency, drives a used vehicle, and lives meegerly. In India, that person would be upper middle class, living in a condo, be able to afford a nice car and enjoying the latest technology has to offer. Interesting how that works isnt it? How much a person is worth on one spot of the planet compared to how they would be viewed on another.
On the Milwaukee Public Television program, they related India and its people to be coming like America. I hope not. I hope they go on to become something better.
