Eating breakfast before work on this mandatory overtime Saturday, I was watching a bit of Good Morning America and some footage on Obama and Hillary being all nice, warm and fuzzy to each other. Now dont even go and start thinking I am a Republican or some other faction - all I want to say is that this is why I cant get into Politics or care for any politician or get excited about America's future. It is all about brokering a deal isn't it? About voting for the "D" or the "R" and not about the integrity of the person running. Mr Obama, can I have my $25 back I donated to your campaign last year? Why is that 80s song "promises promises - I knew you'd never keep" running through my head?
For over a year in the news and in the papers was nothing but comments from each other on how poor the other person would be as a leader. Now the race for that side is over and now its time to kiss and make up. I would of lost all respect for Obama if he would/will chose 'Hoodwink' Hillary as Vice President running mate. He doesnt need a strong woman, he has one, her name is Michelle. Wishful thinkning - I see this Husband and wife team like FDR and Eleanor, or maybe a Jack and Jackie (possibilities). But still, in general, do I care who isi n the White HOuse? Politics is just all Bull isnt it? And we (Americans) accept that I think. Just tell us what we want to hear, that it will be okay and when things go wrong or went unfulfilled we just say, well that's politics.
In the news is more facts (fiction?) on Global Warming. Some reports say it is very real and the Earth has maybe 37 years before meltdown. Others say its all just a natural cycle that comes around every thousand years and so and it is all to get us to vote certain ways or for corporations to make money in other markets.
Some say Wall Street is responsible for gas prices and oil still being so high. Would it be such a shock to find people manipulating the system for oodles of cash?
Congress is having special sessions on the housing crisis. How and Why and it got their in the first place? People making stupid decisions and its their own fault? Or were they "talked" into getting a dream (like all marketing schemes) and were conned by savvy and sophisticated sales professionals who need to earn commissions or lose their job by their money grubber CEOs? And now the status quo will be flipping that expense to.
Yes I an ranting again. Cause I see few making a commitment to finding out the truth or "leading" the cause for community or humanity - Arnold Schwazzenegger being an exception it seems; and I am not sure what is Bill Gates heart these days (trying to get into heaven with his acts of charity?), but more blogging on that later. Yes I would actually be talking good about people and some issues as of late. But works calls and I must return to my station.
